ABOUT THE LECTURE: Under Michael Eskew's direction, UPS is expanding its emphasis on developing new lines of business that complement the company's core package operations. Driving this initiative, he oversees efforts to integrate technology into UPS's physical infrastructure to create business opportunities for customers and help ensure the company's leadership position in the new age of global commerce. In addition to his corporate responsibilities, Eskew is a Trustee of The UPS Foundation and The Annie E. Casey Foundation, which is the country's largest foundation dedicated to disadvantaged youth. He also serves on the Engineering Visiting Committee of Purdue University; the Georgia Tech Advisory Board; and the National Advisory Committee for the College of Engineering at the University of Michigan.
ABOUT THE SPEAKER: Michael L. Eskew serves as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer for United Parcel Service, the world's largest package distribution company and logistics provider. He was Vice Chairman and Executive Vice President prior to assuming his current position on January 1, 2002.
