Peter Singer
Peter Singer is the author of, most recently, The Way We Eat: Why Our Food Choices Matter, coauthored with Jim Mason. Singer was the founding president of the International Association of Bioethics, and, with Helga Kuhse, founding coeditor of the journal Bioethics. He first became well known internationally after the publication of Animal Liberation. His other books include: Democracy and Disobedience; Practical Ethics; The Expanding Circle; Should the Baby Live? (with Helga Kuhse); How Are We to Live?; Rethinking Life and Death; and The President of Good and Evil. His works have appeared in more than 20 languages.He is Vice-President, Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals; a member of the Oxfam America Leadership Council, as well as a member of the World Council of Religious Leaders Global Ethics Initiative. Singer also serves on the International Advisory Board of the Oxford Uehiro Centre for Practical Ethics.
