Tenzin LS Priyadarshi

The Venerable Tenzin Legphel "Priyadarshi" entered monastery at the age of ten in Rajgir near ancient Nalanda University. He trained in India and Nepal in Indo-Tibetan and Japanese Buddhism, and he was ordained by His Holiness the Dalai Lama. He received training in Sanskrit texts in Sarnath, Calcutta, and Delhi.

Ven. Priyadarshi has been interested in dialogues within and outside of the Buddhist tradition. He has presented papers and given talks on various aspects of philosophy and religion in India, Cuba, Japan, Taiwan and the United States.

He completed his graduate work in Comparative Religion and Philosophy of Religion at the Harvard Divinity School. Ven. Priyadarshi is also an Adjunct Faculty at the Namgyal Monastery Institute of Buddhist Studies, the North American Seat of His Holiness the Dalai Lama in Ithaca, New York.
